Pharmaceutics Research

Pharmaceutics is concerned with the strategies by which biologically active compounds are presented to the body so as to elicit an optimal response. The department of Pharmaceutics & Pharmaceutical Technology at KBIPER offers the students the opportunity to learn basic principles of pharmaceutics upto the level of novel drug delivery systems, so that the students directed towards meeting the individual career objectives in the area of pharmaceutical expertise. The department has well equipped and adequately crafted 3 laboratories for undergraduate students, a Research laboratory and a machine room for post graduate and Ph. D. students. The laboratories comprises of various sophisticated machineries required for disseminating knowledge to the students regarding various formulations, their designing, characterization and evaluation.

The Department has various instruments such as: Rotary tablet machine, Tablet coating machine, Dissolution apparatus, UV Visible Spectrophotometer, Brookfield viscometer, Distillation Unit, Sieve Shaker, Tablet evaluating equipments, Ampoule filling and sealing machine, Capsule filling machine, Tube sealing and crimping machine, Diffusion cells, Lab-scale Tray drier, BOD incubator, Humidity Oven, Autoclave, etc.
